Day - 05

Today we toured the “Ring of Kerry”, a loop drive of 179KM around the Iveragh Peninsula. It is a beautiful drive the only problem being that a tour bus with 40 passengers isn’t going to stop everywhere and will inevitably not some of the spots where you’d like it to.

Speaking of tour busses there are a *LOT* of them here. Carol and I thought we saw a lot of tour busses in Alaska but I think there are more on the Ring of Kerry and these are narrower roads. The Irish tour bus association has decreed that the ring shall be driven counter clockwise so that the busses, at least, are all moving in the same direction. That is a very wise decision because there are spots where it might be dicey for them to meet…
